Musicians of Oxford, Music in Tandem needs you!

Tandem Collective is hosting a 3-day community music exchange. We're inviting you to bring a tune/song to share, and together we will explore the global musical roots of Oxford’s community.

Over 3 days of workshops and rehearsals, we will learn songs and tunes brought by participants, and create full band arrangements to perform at the end of the week.

FAQs

Is there an age limit to participation? We welcome all ages – young people under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult, and those over the age of 14 are welcome with parental permission.

I’ve only recently settled in the UK and wasn’t able to bring an instrument with me. Can you help? Yes, just get in touch and we’ll do our best to help find you an instrument to borrow so you can join in.

I need support with my costs to attend, can you help? Yes, we can support with travel/childcare/sustenance costs if this would be a barrier for you. Just get in touch.

I’m very rusty/haven’t played in a band before/don’t play an instrument but love to sing. Do I need to be an expert musician to join? We have musicians of all levels of experience playing with us. We do our best to support beginners and experts alike!
